Stewardship Update 67% of budget goal

Letters and estimate of giving (pledge) cards were mailed the end of October for our Stewardship drive for Fairwood Community UMC. We ask that you prayerfully consider the amount you wish to give to your church for 2026. Based on the estimates of giving that we’ve received so far, we’re at 67% of our goal for the 2026 church budget. Thank you! Extra copies of the pledge cards are available in the narthex or in some of the back of some of the chairs in the sancutary. You can also fill out the online pledge form on our website GIVE page: https://fairwoodumc.org/give

Christmas Eve Offering
This year’s Christmas Eve Offering will be supporting our Community Assistance Program (CAP).  They help in preventing our neighbors to be evicted, stop their water/heater shut-off and other immediate needs to help them get through their hard times.

Thank you so much for your generous support.

New Website
We are migrating to a new website in early December.  Our current host (UMC Churches) is no longer doing websites so we will be moving to a new provider, (tithe.ly) by the end of November.

You will see a different look to the website when you go to www.fairwoodumc.org.  The online worship page has a different setup and is accessible from the banner at the top of the page or the button. It has tabs for chat, documents, and previous services.  All the other pages should look nearly the same.  If there is a feature that you use and can’t find  please send an email to communications@fairwoodumc.org or find Heather S,  Emily H or Donna S at worship and we can look into adding it to the new webpage.

Donate your extra Holiday cards and 2026 Calendars!

Place them in our Food Bank shopping cart located in the Narthex next to the nursery.

Join us in celebrating our Annual Giving Tree in the Narthex.

We are accepting donations until Sunday, December 14th.

This year your generous gifts will be supporting our Asylee Guests, Renton Salvation Army Toy Drive, and Atlantic Street Center.

New Membership January 11th
We are so grateful to recently receive our new members. If you are considering membership, the next date we’ll receive new members is Sunday, January 11.

Membership orientation will be held after worship NEXT Sunday, December 14 at 11:30am in BH-2  (Classroom 2 of Benedict Hall, on the left-hand side as you pass the drinking fountain and go down the hallway).

If you are curious or if you have questions about membership, please contact Pastor Ferdie at pastorferdie@fairwoodumc.org. Look for the brochure and other information in the narthex on the wall holder of brochures, as you move from the narthex to the bathrooms. It’s called “So you’re thinking about joining the Church.”

A decision for membership is always a great time to celebrate our life together as a thriving church family!

United Women in Faith  Christmas Potluck

All are welcome to join the UWF Christmas Potluck on Thursday, December 11 from 5-7pm in M2 (across from the nursery).

We are also collecting canned goods during the potluck in support of our local food bank.
